What is Alpha Phi Omega?
Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed national service organization. Our cardinal principles include leadership, friendship, and service. We aim to serve the community and the university while forming lasting friendship and developing leadership skills. APO has chapters all over the world and is notable for many famous alumni, including Michelle Obama.
Who is Tau Chapter?
Founded in 1931, Tau Chapter has served the University of Florida and the surrounding communities. Our brothers regularly perform over 5,000 total service hours a semester through services with animals, children, the environment, and much more. We seek to make an impact in our community while also developing friendships and leadership skills.
Tau Chapter maintains the UF Information Booth, located at the HUB bus stop at the corner of Buckman and Stadium Rd. Brothers can usually be found here from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday distributing printed information to and answering questions for students, faculty, and campus visitors. The Booth acts as the Chapter’s main office/headquarters, and on Saturday mornings it often serves as the meeting ground for service projects. Feel free to stop by and ask for information, pick up a rush flyer, or to just say hello!
